Most of the metal roof repairs we are called to are not failures of the metal. They are failures of a detail: an upstand that was never high enough, a flashing that was dressed badly, a seam that was closed cold, or a later trade cutting through something they should not have.

Finding the actual leak
Water travels. The stain on the ceiling is very often nowhere near the hole, which is why so many metal roof leaks get chased for years and patched in the wrong place. We trace it properly, from the inside as well as the outside, before anybody starts cutting.
If the problem turns out to be something other than the roof, which happens more often than you would think, we will tell you that rather than sell you a repair that will not fix it.
What we repair
Seam and welt failures, split or fatigued sheets, upstands and abutments that are too shallow, chimney and parapet flashings, valley and gutter linings, storm and impact damage, and remedial work on roofs fitted by someone else.
We also get called in on new build work that has gone wrong, where a general roofer has been asked to lay a metal roof without the equipment or the training for it. That is fixable, though sometimes the honest answer is to take it off and start again.
Honest reporting
A repair where a repair will do. We would rather do a five hundred pound job properly and be the people you ring in ten years than talk you into a re roof you did not need. If the roof genuinely is finished, we will show you why.

Most of our repair work is on roofs fitted by somebody else. We do not need to have built it to put it right.
For a live leak we will get somebody to you as soon as we can, usually within the week. Ring rather than email if it is urgent.
Yes, and we will show you why with photographs. We would rather lose a job than sell you a patch that we know will fail.
Usually. Send a photo and an offcut if you have one. We can normally identify the system, the finish and the seam spacing so the repair blends in.
