Zinc Worktops

Soft grey, matt, and better with age

Zinc worktops are the classic choice for a kitchen that gets used. A soft blue grey that dulls to a matt finish, takes small marks in its stride and blends them back in over time. We make them in one piece wherever the span allows.

  • Single piece tops with folded edges
  • Sink, hob and tap cut outs templated on site
  • Natural mill, Quartz or Anthra finish
  • Islands, runs and breakfast bars

Zinc Bar Tops

The traditional pub and bistro surface

A zinc bar top is what most people picture when they think of a proper bar. Hard wearing, easy to wipe down and it only looks better as it gets used. We have fitted them in pubs, breweries, restaurants, tea rooms and home bars.

  • Straight runs, curves and full horseshoe bars
  • Rolled, moulded or square edge detail
  • Drip trays, glass racks and till cut outs
  • Riveted or seamless, whichever suits the room

Copper Worktops

Warm, and it changes with the room

Copper worktops start bright and darken over the first year into a deep warm brown. Every mark becomes part of the finish. Nothing else gives a kitchen island the same warmth against painted cabinets.

  • Islands, runs and full wrapped ends
  • Folded edges with no visible fixings
  • Mill bright, brushed or pre darkened
  • Matching splashbacks and upstands

Copper Bar Tops

The one people notice on the way in

A copper bar top catches every light in the room. We form them flat, curved or as a full horseshoe, with the same folded edge detail we use on a roof. They wear in rather than wear out.

  • Curved and horseshoe bars formed in house
  • Matching foot rails and trims
  • Polished, brushed or antiqued
  • Pubs, restaurants, hotels and home bars

Brass Worktops

A warm gold that sits well with dark timber

Brass worktops carry real warmth without going orange. Left alone the surface deepens to an antique gold. Lacquered, it holds its shine. Made to order in the same workshop as everything else we fold.

  • Polished, brushed or antiqued
  • Islands, runs and shelf edges
  • Lacquered if you want it to stay bright
  • Sample pieces available before you commit

Brass Bar Tops

Back bars, counters and servery tops

Brass bar tops suit a room with dark panelling and warm lighting. We make the top, the back bar and the shelf edges to match, so the whole servery reads as one piece of metalwork.

  • Bar tops, back bars and servery counters
  • Matching shelf edging and trims
  • Antiqued to take the shine off if you prefer
  • Hard wearing and simple to keep clean

Grade 304, for kitchens that work hard

  • Grade 304 stainless steel
  • Integrated sinks and drainer grooves
  • Brushed, satin or hammered
  • Domestic islands and commercial kitchens

How we work

From template to fitted top

  1. 01

    Template

We come out and template in person, not from a drawing. Walls are never square and worktops have to be.

  2. 02

    Choose the metal and finish

Zinc, copper, brass or stainless, then the finish: mill bright, brushed, satin, hammered, antiqued or darkened.

  3. 03

    Made in our workshop

Folded, welded and polished by the same people who form our roof panels.

  4. 04

    Fitted by us

Delivered and fitted by our own team. Sealed where it needs sealing, and we take the packaging away.

Frequently asked
questions

Anything else, ring us on 07827 915194.

Yes, and that is normal. Lemon juice, a wet glass or a hot pan will leave marks that fade into the overall finish over a few weeks. If you want a surface that stays exactly as fitted, choose stainless steel or a lacquered finish.

Yes. Metal takes heat far better than stone or composite. Copper and brass will darken slightly where the pan sat, and that mark will even out.

Warm soapy water and a soft cloth for everyday cleaning. Do not use bleach or abrasive cream on copper, brass or zinc. Stainless takes a proprietary stainless cleaner along the grain.

No. The metal is bonded to an 18mm ply or MDF substrate, so it sounds and feels solid.

Regularly. Straight runs, curves and full horseshoe bars, with matching back bars, foot rails and shelf edges. We work around your opening hours where we can.

Yes. Tell us the job and we will match the material and the finish.
